Businesswoman and entrepreneur, Viv’s a maverick businesswoman and frequent television news guest. Viv uses a viral gaffe on live television to enter British politics despite  her authoritarian bent and questionable grasp on policy.

Stephen is Muriel’s eldest son. As a successful financial adviser, he lives with his wife Celeste and their two daughters in a wealthy London neighborhood, seemingly shielded from the rapidly changing world around him.

Daniel is a friendly, diligent and hard-working housing officer in Manchester in a devoted relationship with his boyfriend, Ralph. Daniel’s commitment to Ralph begins to wane in the face of an ominous future.
